Ministry Purpose
- To encourage and strengthen fellowship among all the women of our church.
- To develop personal spiritual growth.
- To stimulate interest and concern for each other.
- To cultivate an outreach and missionary spirit among our women.
Missions Offerings:
We take an offering for missions at Women’s Ministries events. We have three areas that we support:

Bible Study
Morning Study: Sept. 8 – Dec. 1; Jan. 5 – April 6
Time: Tuesdays, 9:00 - 11:00am
Place: First Baptist Church - Downstairs Lounge
Childcare available for the morning study. An offering is taken each week to help cover the cost of the nursery.
Living Beyond Yourself:
Exploring the Fruit of The Spirit
by Beth Moore
A video study led by Jean Chantland
An interactive Bible study of the fruit of The Spirit as presented in the book of Galatians and concentrating on Galatians 5:22-23. Beth walks participants through each trait listed in the fruit and encourages women to know the freedom of a Spirit-filled life.
Evening Study: January 21 - April 1, 2010
Time: Thursdays, 7:00pm

Ladies’ Evening Bible Study: A new study - James, Life Change Bible Study Series will begin Thursday, January 21 at 7:00pm at First Baptist. This verse-by-verse study of JAMES offers a challenge to Christians of every age to keep on growing. Participants learn how to have a faith that is foundational, genuine, proven, and evident to the world. Participants will be encouraged to apply God's word to their life. Ladies, please sign up for this study at the Women’s Ministry table in the foyer. Book: $7.00.

Jan Silvious comes with years of experience as a counselor, Bible teacher and speaker. Her passion is to help others understand relationships and be freed from the ruts of life. Humorous messages appeal to the young and old alike. Jan has been a guest speaker at Women of Faith, Moody’s Founders Week, and numerous other conferences. Jan has authored over nine books and through them gives practical, biblical tools to those who are floundering in deep water.

We will begin September 21. We will be working on our Sampler that we started last fall. Several quilters are “doing their own thing” so if you would like to join us and bring what you are working on, we would love to have you. There will be no regular meeting in October. I may be having a project for our group to work on this fall. In January, I hope to start a beginner’s class.

White Cross Circle

Focus of White Cross Circle: God and Missions
Prepare much-needed items for hospitals and medical work in Cameroon, as well as other needy areas of the world.
Activities of White Cross Circle
We have a time of sharing, caring, and fellowshipping together as we cut surgical squares and roll bandages. We also sew baby jackets, diapers, and blankets for the dear newborns in Cameroon – a gift to the new moms. We have updates on our missionaries and pray for their requests. We do have lunchtime too. Come and join us! All are welcome! If you are unable to come but would like to help sew some projects please call Lois Kankovsky at 838-0405.
Special Project 
Filling shoe boxes for Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child Project. These gift-filled shoe boxes bring joy and hope to needy children around the world
